Update 29th May

Eileen Callaghan, Christy Wynne and Ciaran Beirne were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in The Patrick's Well. The jackpot wasn’t won. It will be at €2,100 for the next draw on Saturday June 3rd which will be held in the Kate Lavin's Bar, with Team five in charge. 
The Cooney Motors/Centra sponsored juniors championship game against Fuerty was postponed at the weekend. They are out this Saturday June 3rd against St. Aidan's in the division 5 league in Ballyforan at 8pm.

Sympathies to the Keville family on the passing of Elizabeth and to the Brady family  Ballinagare on the death of Justin.  May they rest in peace.

Club Executive meeting on Thursday night in the clubrooms at 9pm. Please note the change of time.

MINOR TEAMS:
The U-14 team division 1 team were defeated by Padraig Pearses in the league last week. The U-12 division 5 team drew with Clan na nGael. There are no underage fixtures for the coming week.

LADIES FOOTBALL: 
Thank you to everyone involved in running our first ever GAA Nursery Programme. It has been a very successful and fun 19 weeks. The programme will resume again in the Autumn. Details will be advertised in September.
U12 girls play Shannon Gaels in Croghan on Monday June 5th at 6pm. 

U14 girls play Elphin/Kilmore in Rd 4 of the League on Wednesday at 7pm in the Abbey Park.

Update 22nd May

Joe McQuaid, Jim and Marie Feighan and John Finneran were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Clarke's Bar. The jackpot wasn’t won. It will be at €2,000 for the next draw on Saturday May 27th which will be held in the Patrick's Well Bar, with Team four in charge. 
The McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored seniors drew with Castlerea in the division 2 O'Gara Cup on Sunday last.

The Cooney Motors/Centra sponsored juniors start their Junior B championship this Saturday May 27th against Fuerty in Oran at 5:45pm.


Sympathy of the club to the Finneran family on their bereavement.


MINOR CLUB:

The U-14 division 1 team were defeated by St. Brigid's in the league last week.

The U-12 Division one team play Padraig Pearses in the league semi final, Date and Venue TBC.

Well done to Oisin Sheerin and Conor McPhearson who made the U-14 County development panel, they played Sligo over the weekend.

The U-12 Division 5 team play Clan na nGael this week, Date and Venue TBC.

LADIES FOOTBALL:

Well done to the U12s on their win against Oran. The girls are away to Strokestown on Sunday 28th at 6pm in Round 4 of the Championship.

Despite a good second half performance the U-14s lost to Eire Og. Next league match is on Wed 24th at 7pm v's St. Brigids in the Abbey Park.

Update 15th May

Keiran Cox and Zoe Clarke McClure were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in An Craobhin Bar. The jackpot wasn’t won. The house prize was won by Dominic Slein. It will be at €1,900 for the next draw on Saturday May 20th which will be held in the Clarke's Bar, with Team Three in charge.

The McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored Senior team were defeated in their second game of the senior champioship, they went down to Roscommon Gaels in Ballyleague last Friday (See match report). Their next game is against Castlerea in the O'Gara Cup on Sunday May 21st in Castlerea at 2pm.

The Cooney Motors/Centra sponsored junior team play St. Michael's in the Division 5 league on Friday evening in the Abbey Park at 8pm.

The History Committee, under the stewardship of Tony Conboy , is undertaking the very worthwhile project of  having photographs  documenting our Clubs history framed.    It is envisaged that the initial phase will see  the exhibition of ten frames in our Clubrooms. The Club invites offers of sponsorship of individual frames Sponsorship will be acknowledged under each frame   Many thanks to the seven individuals who have come on board to date on the project.  Further information can be obtained from Tony at 086 8163399.

Sincere sympathies to the Comiskey family, Roscommon and Roch Hanmore, Senior Men's Captain on the untimely passing of his cousin, Mary. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

MINOR CLUB:

Results: Division 1 U-12 league Boyle were defeated by Clann na nGael, Division 1 league U-14 Boyle defeated Padraig Pearses.

In the U-12 division 5 league Boyle defeated St. Brigid's.
Fixtures: Division 1 U-14 league Boyle play play St Brigids, Tuesday May 16th, in the Abbey Park at 7:30pm. The U-12 Division 5 team play Clan na nGael, Thursday May 18th, in the Abbey Park at 7pm.

LADIES FOOTBALL:

Green Vetinary Intermediate Ladies lost to St Faithleachs in the League.

U14s lost to Clann na nGael in the first round of the league. A great effort by all the girls against a very strong Clann na Gael team. The girls are away to Eire Og in round 2 of the league on Wednesday 17th
.
U12's are away to Oran in round 3 of the Championship on Sunday 21st May @ 6pm.

Update 8th May

Sean Brid Donohue and Martina McDonagh were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Dodd's Bar. The jackpot wasn’t won. The house prize was won by Amy Challoner. It will be at €1,800 for the next draw on Saturday May 13th which will be held in the An Craobhin Bar, with Team Two in charge. 

The McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored senior team were defeated by Western Gaels in the opening game of their championship on Sunday last. Their next game is against Roscommon Gaels in the championship next Friday May 12th in KIlbride at 8pm.

The minor were defeated in the Division 3 league Semi Final against St Dominics last week.

Congratulations are extended to Diarmuid Sutton on his success in the Community Games, claiming a bronze medal at the national finals.

The club extends sympathies to the Donohue family Kilmore on the passing of Mary.

LADIES FOOTBALL:

Congratulations to  Boyle U16 Ladies who are Div 1B Co. Champions. They beat St. Brigids on a scoreline of Boyle 6-13 St Brigids 5-08. A very competitive match with great football played by both teams. Well done girls on a great team performance. Thanks to the Management team of Kieran, Adrian, Mary and Monica for their commitment. Thanks to all players, parents, supporters and sponsors Corrib Oil.
