Update 26th June

Congratulations to Bernard Hickey who won the jackpot of €2,400 at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Scanlon's Bar. €20 winners were Mary Doyle, Darragh Beirne and Dominic Slein. It will be at €1,000 for the next draw on Saturday July 1st which will be held in Creighton's Bar, with Team nine in charge. 

Well done the Cooney Motors sponsored juniors who salvaged a draw again Tulsk in the Junior B championship on Sunday last. Their next outing is against St. Faithleach's in the Junior B championship next Saturday July 1st, in Ballyleague at 7pm.
All roads lead to St Joseph’s Hall in Boyle next Friday June 30th for what will be a very enjoyable night for all Gaelic Football supporters. The ‘Road To Croker’ event brings together a range of household names in Gaelic Football for an evening that is not to be missed.
The Sunday Game pundits Joe Brolly and Martin Carney, two time All Ireland winning manager John O Mahony, former Dublin captain Collie Moran, Roscommon's inimitable Shane Curran, leading GAA administrator John Prenty and former Galway stalwart Brian Talty will all bring a wealth of Gaelic Football knowledge and experience to St Joseph's Hall in Boyle for what promises to be a very entertaining evening. Topics on the agenda will include championship formats, team preparation, the current state of the game and of course the upcoming provincial finals in all four provinces.
Speaking at the launch of the event, kindly sponsored by Cooney Motors, Boyle Kathleen Hanmore, Chairperson of Boyle GAA Club commented '‘We’re delighted to host this Gaelic Football forum and feel that this evening will yield invaluable insights into the game given the vast experience of our star- studded panel of speakers. Above all, we look forward to a wonderful night of entertainment. We are also very pleased to announce that a donation from our proceeds will be made to the Irish Kidney Association'.
In addition, somebody in the audience will end up on the road to croker themselves with the attractive raffle prize of an All-Ireland Football Final weekend in Dublin with two tickets for the final.

UNDERAGE FOOTBALL:
The U-12 division 1 and 5 teams were unlucky losing their respective finals over the weekend. The U-14 team suffered defeat to Castlerea in the Garda Cup last week. The U-14's start their championship with an away fixture in Woodmount against Padraig Pearses next Thursday June 29th, at 7:30pm.

LADIES FOOTBALL: 
Well done to the Ladies  on winning their first Round of the Championship. Round 2 against St. Ciarans in the Abbey Park at 12pm on Sunday 2nd July. 

Hard luck to the Boyle Country Meats sponsored U12 girls who lost the Division 1B co. Final on a scoreline of 1-3 to 4 points. Great team effort by all:

Update 19th June

The McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored seniors defeated Furety in the O'Gara Cup/Division 2 league on Saturday last.
The Cooney Motors/Centra sponsored juniors start the junior B championship when they play Tulsk next Sunday June 25th, at 12noon in the Abbey Park.

The McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored seniors play Fuerty in the Division 2 league next Saturday in the Abbey park at 8pm.

Minor Club:
Boyle U12 A and B team played in the Cliffiord Cup recently. Both teams were drawn in a very strong group of Castlebar, St Marys Sligo and Killmacud Crokes of Dublin. Both teams played very well against very strong opposition. The B team were unlucky not to win two of their games. The A team beat Castlebar in their first game, in the second game St Marys in the first half had lead that in 2nd half Boyle managed to narrow lead with some fine play but not enough in the end. With the final game against the famous Dublin club Killmacud Crokes our lads were not overawed and the kept the Dublin team a bay for many periods with some fine defending. Well done to players and coaches.
The U-12 Division 5 team defeated Clan na nGael in the league semi-final over the weekend. Final details TBC.

Fixtures: 
The Boyle U-12 Division 1 team are into a play-off on this Friday June 16th at 7pm. Details TBC. Please check facebook later in the week for the details.

LADIES FOOTBALL:
Well done to the Boyle Country Meats sponsored U12 girls who beat Eire Og in a thrilling quarter final. They play the Division 1 semi-final next weekend. Details tbc. Also well done to the U14 girls on winning their final league match. 


Best wishes to the girls from Scoil na nAingeal Naofa who play Ballybay in the Cumann na mbunscoil final. Details tbc.

Their next game will be against St. Michael's in the Division 5 league on June 10th in the Abbey Park at 7pm.

Minor Fixtures: The U-12 division 5 team play Clann na nGael in a league play-off on Sunday June 11th in the Abbey Park at 12noon.

The U-12 division team are scheduled to play in a league knockout next weekend. Please check Roscommon Herald sports section for further details.

The Roscommon GAA social initiative are having their annual outing on Saturday, June 17th to Croke Park and Guinness Brewery. All in cost of €50 which includes Tea/Scones and Dinner. Coach leaves at 7:30am. For further information please contact Sean Mannion on 086 838 8756.
